I live in a small town in Northeast Pennsylvania with my wonderful husband
Ralph and Peaches, our little Cavachon.
A number of years ago now, I was introduced to the wonderful world of hooked rugs. I attended an exhibit and from the start my interest was peaked by the variety of styles displayed. I think that fine cut is gorgeous and the detail it produces is incredible. Wide cut is fun and offers a great folk-artsy look. I love it all! I hold classes in my home studio twice a month where I enjoy helping students see the color and possibilities within their patterns come to realization. My hands-on and visual teaching method seems to appeal to beginners as well as advanced students. Within a spirited atmosphere, my goal is to remove the stress and bring out the enjoyment aspects of creating their own hand hooked treasures. We have a lot of fun together!
I enjoy traveling and teaching workshops where I have met wonderful new friends that also enjoy rug hooking. Vending at hook ins and rug shows has become a real pleasure as I have worked out the kinks and can travel more easily with all my wool and patterns.
I want to share also that I am an 11 year breast cancer survivor. So, gals, don't wait, get your mammies grammed!! The Lord has blessed me richly in many ways.
Happy Hooking and thanks for taking the time to stop by!!
